Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data is collected through kemu.re, why, for how long, who it is shared with and how to exercise your rights. It is written under articles 12 to 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data protection. This English version is provided for convenience: only the French version is legally binding.
Data controller
The controller for data collected through this website is:
- Name : CAMALON Adilson, trading as Kemu
- Address : 2436 Chemin Lagourgue, 97440 Saint-André, Réunion Island, France
- Email : contact@kemu.re
- Phone : +262 693 99 80 03
Given the size of the business and the nature of the processing, no data protection officer has been appointed. Any question about your data can be sent directly to contact@kemu.re.
Data collected
Only the data needed for the purposes described below is collected. It comes from three sources:
- What you send us voluntarily: quote request form, online booking, newsletter sign-up.
- What your browser automatically sends to the hosting provider in order to display the site: IP address, timestamp, pages requested, browser type.
- What audience measurement cookies record, only if you have accepted them: pages visited, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address.
No special category data within the meaning of article 9 of the GDPR is collected. The website is not directed at minors.
Purposes, legal bases and retention periods
| Processing | Data concerned | Purpose | Legal basis | Retention period |

| Online booking (Cal.com) | Name, email address, booked slot, information added to the booking form | Arrange and confirm the discovery call | Pre-contractual steps taken at your request (article 6.1.b GDPR) | 3 years from the last contact |
| Newsletter sign-up | Email address, date and source of consent | Send you the studio's news, articles and advice | Your consent (article 6.1.a GDPR) | Until you withdraw your consent. Proof of consent is kept for 3 years after unsubscription |
| Audience measurement (Google Analytics) | Pages visited, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate location | Understand traffic in order to improve the content and usability of the site | Your consent (article 6.1.a GDPR), collected through the cookie banner | 13 months for cookies, 14 months for traffic data |

Mandatory or optional information
In the quote request form, your name and one contact method (email or phone) are mandatory: without them, no answer can be sent to you. The subject of the request is optional and only helps prepare the conversation.
For the newsletter, the email address and the consent checkbox are mandatory: without explicit consent, no sign-up is recorded.
None of this information is required in order to browse the website.
Recipients and processors
Your data is handled by CAMALON Adilson and by the technical providers strictly necessary to run the website, acting as processors within the meaning of article 28 of the GDPR:
| Provider | Role | Data location |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and technical logs | United States |
| Turso | Website database: blog articles, project pages, newsletter sign-ups | European Union (Ireland) |
| Resend | Sending transactional emails: acknowledgements, confirmations | United States |
| Cal.com | Online booking module | United States |
| Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) | Audience measurement, only after your consent | United States |
Your data is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for advertising purposes or for prospecting on someone else's behalf.
Transfers outside the European Union
The website database is hosted in the European Union (Ireland). Page hosting, email sending, online booking and audience measurement, however, rely on providers established in the United States: your data may therefore be transferred outside the European Union.
These transfers are covered by the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for providers that have joined it, and otherwise by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
You can obtain a copy of the safeguards in place by writing to contact@kemu.re.
Cookies and trackers
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. This site uses two categories.
Cookies strictly necessary to run the website do not require your consent: they serve the site, remember your cookie choice and maintain the administration session reserved for the publisher.
Audience measurement cookies are only set if you accept them through the banner shown on your first visit. Until you have accepted, no Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager script is loaded by the site.
| Cookie | Issuer | Purpose | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
| kemu_cookie_consent | Kemu | Remember whether you accepted or refused audience measurement cookies | 6 months |
| admin_auth | Kemu | Maintain the website administration session, reserved for the publisher | 30 days |
| _ga, _ga_* | Distinguish visitors and measure traffic | 13 months | |
| Booking module cookies | Cal.com | Run the online booking calendar. See cal.com/privacy | See the Cal.com policy |
Refusing audience measurement cookies is as easy as accepting them: both options sit side by side in the banner. You can change your choice at any time through the « Manage my cookies » link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which the banner reappears.
Embedded third-party content
The call preparation page embeds a video through the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not set advertising tracking cookies unless you start playback.
The booking module is provided by Cal.com and loads with the page. It is necessary for the booking you are requesting and therefore relies on pre-contractual steps, not on consent.
Typefaces are served from our own servers and trigger no request to a third-party service while you browse.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and French data protection law, you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access: obtain confirmation that your data is processed and receive a copy of it.
- Right to rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your data, within the limits of legal retention obligations.
- Right to restriction of processing: request that use of your data be frozen, for instance while its accuracy is verified.
- Right to data portability: receive the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to any commercial prospecting, at any time and without having to justify yourself.
- Right to withdraw consent: at any time and as easily as you gave it, through the « Manage my cookies » link for cookies and the unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
- Right to give post-mortem instructions: state what should happen to your data after your death (article 85 of the French data protection act).
To exercise these rights, write to contact@kemu.re. You will receive an answer within one month, extended to three months for complex requests, in which case you will be informed. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt about who is asking. If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or online at www.cnil.fr.
No automated decision-making
No decision producing legal effects concerning you is taken solely on the basis of automated processing. No profiling is carried out and your data is not used to build an advertising profile.
Data security
Exchanges with the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted to the website publisher and protected by authentication. The selected providers offer appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
As no system is infallible, any data breach would be notified under the conditions set out in articles 33 and 34 of the GDPR.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change, in particular if a tool is added or a provider is replaced. The date of the latest update is shown at the bottom of this page. If a processing activity based on your consent changes substantially, fresh consent will be requested.
